On Friday night, March 23rd, I shall be taking to the stage once more at The White Lion public house on Sandwell Street, Walsall. The band I’ve been playing with since January have a gig, and it’s going to be a corker.
It was a this very pub I met the Grey Goose Blues Band, and at an open mic night first jammed with some of their members. A good time (and the odd beer) was had by all concerned, and I duly showed up at the start of the new year to rehearse with them and see if we could make it work.
So Friday night will be the full circle, if you will. We’ve done carolling in this pub, and tried mead while sat on its hallowed chairs. Now I go to play Blues and sample from their fine selection of ales.
Please come and listen. It’s free entry, and the venue is excellent. I guarantee it will fill up fairly early, but don’t let that put you off.
If you can’t make that, we have a gig on Sunday as well. But that’s in Brum.
