Today, we took a cake to school as part of Son 2’s project.
They have been studying volcanoes and plate tectonic theory, and had been challenged to represent their learning in an original way.
So Mrs C and he made this:
A sponge cake coloured with red food dye smothered in ash grey buttercream and red lava icing on the top.
I’m very impressed and apparently the teacher was too. Of course, by the time you read this, the volcano will most likely be consumed by onlookers. Vesuvius in reverse!
