This Saturday sees the return of Walsall Social Media Surgery. We’re meeting between 9:30 and 11:30 in the morning, at the Starbucks coffee house on Crown Wharf Shopping Park.
In the same way that cake seems to define the brewcamp movement in the Midlands, coffee seems so far to define Walsall SMS. I love the laid back atmosphere at Starbucks in Walsall. I love Zoe and her team and their welcoming attitude to anything like the SMS which is about to descend and drink their wares. It will be the first SMS in Walsall at Starbucks, and I suspect the first one on a Saturday morning. I think it’s great we can get away with this.
Come down, one and all. Join the Social Media revolution. More specifically, come and talk to the surgeons. We aren’t all Social Media eggheads with years of relevant experience, but it’s always useful to bounce ideas off someone else who has walked in your shoes or at least understands what you’re facing, and there’s stuff we can tell you about mistakes we made or fantastic things we’ve found that you can take and use without having to do the same legwork yourself. In effect, we’re just sharing the sweets.
A quick and quiet word of caution. This is not open to people who make money and need to use Social Media. We’re not a consultancy. This is for charities, non-profits, individuals who are active in the community or want to be.
And if you aren’t on the coffee, they do all sorts of other drinks: fruit teas, fruit things and smoothies. Come down, plug in, engage and enjoy.
